The Roof Gardens next monthly Kensington Square residents’ meeting will take place on Thursday 13th June at 6pm. If you are able to join us, please RSVP to our team through kensingtonsquare@theroofgardens.com by Monday 10th June.

A register of licensing applications is held by the Licensing Authority and can be inspected at http://www.rbkc.gov.uk/licensing or at The Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX, tel. 020 7341 5152, by appointment with the Licensing Team between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday. Any person wishing to submit representations must give notice in writing to Licensing Authority address shown above, giving in detail the grounds of objection by no later than 05 June 2024. 

It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in or in connection with an application for a premises licence and the Maximum Fine on Summary Conviction (Level 5 on the Standard Scale) is unlimited.

Please forgive the recent flurry of letters, which has unfortunately been necessary whilst we set up the monthly residents’ meetings and open consultation on our draft Operational Management & Dispersal Plan. This will be the last paper communication we send out. All future correspondence and updates will be issued through the Kensington Square Residents’ Portal (see details below) and to the KSRA official email. Some, residents have expressed a preference to receive direct emails, if you would prefer to be contacted via email, please let us know in writing at kensingtonsquare@theroofgardens.com 

The Roof Gardens Opening 

Our planned opening date has been pushed back until late June. Once we have a confirmed an opening date, we will update the Residents’ Portal. 

Monthly Kensington Square Residents Meetings 

Further to cancellation of the May 2^nd meeting, the next monthly Kensington Square Residents’ meeting will take place on Thursday 13^th June at 6pm. Whilst building works are ongoing, we have arranged for this meeting to take place nearby at The Pavilion Club at 96 Kensington High Street, W8 4SG. Thereafter, the monthly meetings will take place onsite at The Roof Gardens. To help you plan ahead, please see below meeting dates for the rest of the year:

Draft Operational Management & Dispersal Plan 

As per our recent communications, our draft Operational Management & Dispersal Plan went live for consultation on 26^th April. In response to a request made through the KSRA, we have agreed to extend the consultation deadline to Tuesday 28^th May. Please email your feedback to us at kensingtonsquare@theroofgardens.com This extended timeframe will give residents the time they need to review the document, whilst ensuring The Roof Gardens has sufficient time to implement the plan ahead of opening.

Dear Kensington Square Resident

Further to my letter of 26^th March, I am writing to remind you of our upcoming residents’ meeting.

It will take place on Thursday 2^nd May at 6pm at United House, 9 Pembridge Road W113JY. Unfortunately, due to ongoing construction works, we are not able to have our first meeting onsite at The Roof Gardens, however, future meetings will take place there.  

At the May 2^nd meeting we will be inviting feedback and questions on our Operational Management and Dispersal Plan, which you can view in advance of the meeting, by typing this link to your internet browser  https://kensingtonsqresidence.theroofgardens.com/

For your information, we are also intending to submit a minor variation of the internal layout.  This is simply to relocate the guest toilets from the 6^th floor to 5^th.  There is no additional licensable area as the space previously occupied by the 6^th floor toilets will remain as back of house.  I can confirm we have discussed this proposal with Mr Mehaffy of the environmental health consultation team.  There are no other proposed changes to the licence.
