The Roof Gardens – Residents Meeting Minutes 28.07.26

Date: 28th July 2026
Time: 6PM
Location: TEAMS
Attendees: Alex Stirling; Sue Walter, Simon Phelan; Paloma Fernandez

Summary

Key updates

  • The existing app will continue to be used after earlier issues were resolved. KSRA asked for a demo at the next in-person meeting.
  • The quarterly SIA meeting covered late-night access, smoking, and movement toward the high street. A lapse earlier in the summer was discussed and attributed to Daniel’s absence, agency churn, and normal operational drift. Regular refresher training remains part of the approach.
  • The SIA positioning map will be reshared with KSRA, along with an explanation of first half and second-half evening movements.
  • No formal complaints were reported since the last meeting, aside from a July 16th noise complaint that was traced to BST in Hyde Park rather than TRG.

Parking update

  • Total cars parked in the square over the last two months: 3,854.
  • TRG-related cars: 114.
  • Cars refused entry: 90. Cars moved without refusal: 23. Disability exceptions: 1.
  • Zero member warnings were issued.

Club updates

  • It was confirmed that the fifth-floor reconfiguration has received planning and licence approval. Construction is being phased to allow the club to remain open, with completion targeted for April 2027.
  • No major events are planned in August.
  • Halloween is expected to take place at an external London venue this year, so KSRA should not be impacted at the club.
  • Nothing is currently planned for London Fashion Week, though TRG said it would give notice if that changes.

Meeting cadence

  • TRG proposed moving the meeting to a bi-monthly schedule with extra meetings being scheduled if needed upon request. Alex said he would check with Peder and respond by email.

Actions

  • Simon Ph. to arrange an app demo at the next in-person meeting.
  • Simon Ph. to send KSRA the SIA positioning map with notes on evening movements.
  • Alex to confirm whether future meetings should move to a bi-monthly cadence after checking with KSRA.
